It’s not always easy when your gut and your heart don’t align.
When life throws a million little decisions all at one time.
It’s not always easy to enjoy the little things, like making breakfast together–
being awake for the foggy winter sunrises.
You know you should slow down the pace
but you’ve gotten in the habit of overdrive.
No- all this,
all this life-living and creating and building and growing
is not always easy.
But it is beautiful none-the-less, and as long as I can still
remember this:
The sunrise, the morning coffee, the laughter while building a topsy-turvy home, the garden surprises, and the people that are there no matter how upside down it seems —
Then all the simple and slow will make it again.
